This project has been in the working stage for several months. It has been a large undertaking, and was only accomplished because of the wonderful help that was given by George Keeton of Buchanan Dam, Texas. We must say a special thank you to him for re-typing all the information on each soldier for our use. He spent countless hours helping us to put nearly 1,000 bios of the vets.

This book has no copyright or date, but we estimate the date of publication ca. 1947. On the backcover of the book is a logo: "American Beauty Cover Co., Dallas," and "Taylor Eng. Co., Dallas." It is presumed that these credits are for the binding and cover of the annual. From the contents, we are assuming the American Legion played a big part in putting this information together, since the introduction letters were made by officers of this organization. Whoever was responsible for this monumental undertaking, we give our thanks.
