PLEASE NOTE: The Milam County Courthouse burned on April 9, 1874 and all records were destroyed. The only surviving item is one surveyor's notebook that contains no genealogical information.
PLEASE NOTE: In July 2002, the Milam County Courthouse completed a full restoration under a grant from the Texas Historical Commission. For more information on the Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation Project.

NOTE: From my personal experience: 1) There are very little genealogical or historical materials or resources at this library. 2) Regretfully, this library is not very user friendly and they do not like "outsiders" to visit. 3) Lastly, non-residents are not allowed to use library resources, equipment, computers, etc.
