Meetings: 7:30 p.m., 1st Thursday of each month at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library
Our Oct. 12th dinner meeting was a big success with 33 registering. Most of our local members were present. We had several guests and a large group from Lee County, so I feel that not everyone who was present registered. We had enough food for a crowd several times larger. Our society expresses its thanks to the organizers and the workers who set up the civic center and helped in the cleanup. Lucille Towery is conducting a post event roundup so there will be a record for future dinners.
I am having to do the newsletter early because I have to be out of town Thursday. I havent checked on local news.
