DEAN, Michael George of Aurora, Ohio. Age 23. Died ?/1982 (Wed.) after being struck by a Santa Fe freight train near Cameron, causing massive head injuries. He was described as a "drifter". DEARY, Mrs. Lillie (George) of Rockdale. Age 46. Died ?/1968 (Friday) when she was burned to death, when fire destroyed a frame tenant house on a farm in the Friendship Comm. The husband and 6 daughters were home and escaped the fire without injury. Mrs. Deary had reentered the house to get some belongings. The family had lived on the farm for the past 8 years. The farm was owned by H.H. Coffield of Rockdale and run by Ernest Hodge. Services held (Sat.) at Mt.Zion Baptist Church near Bastrop. Burial in Mt.Zion Cemetery in Bastrop. She was the mother of C.W. Simmons of Thorndale.

DEARY, Mrs. Willie (Mattie Ray) of Austin. Age 26. Died 1/1971 (Sunday) from an apparent heart attack. Services held (Wed.) at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. She was taken to the hospital in a private car by Frank McKee, age 38, of Rockdale. He was later charged with murder. Funeral services were held 7/27 at New Hope Baptist Church. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. She was BORN 11/12/1946 in Rockdale, the daughter of Mrs. Iris Bell and Johnny Bell. Graduate of Aycock High School and later married Bobby Debose. Joined the New Hope Baptist Church at an early age. A member of Masonic Lodge 414 of Rockdale, former Saddle Club member and sponsored Little League baseball teams in Rockdale for many years.
