She was manager at a Rockdale Circle K Store for 4 years. Moved from Houston to Milano where she had been a resident of 7 years. Married Bobby J. Huddleston on 5/4/1956 in Houston. HUERTA, Mrs. Reyes of Cameron. Age 118, Milam County's oldest citizen. Died 1/1/1966 in a local hospital. Services held at St. Sacremento Chatholic Church on 1/3/66 Burial in Hernandez Cemetery. BORN 1/6/1847, Mrs. Huerta would have celebrated her 119th birthday on January 6th. She was born in Mexico and had lived in Cameron for 52 years. "Last year, on the occasion of her 118th birthday, Mrs. Huerta told the Cameron Herald the inheritance of long life came from a full-blooded Indian Father and a Spanish Mother. She was small and frail, but was up for her afternoon birthday party and seemed pleased by the congratulations. She saw, heard and spoke well on her 118th birthday and her warm sense of humor showed an understanding and patience born of more that a century of life." SURVIVORS: Daughter, Mrs. Susie Ramirez, who she lived with and her family included 7 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-grandchild.

HUGHES, Fay R. of Tanglewood. Age 82. Died 3/1981 (Tuesday) in a Cameron hosptial following a short illness. Funeral & Burial held (Friday) in Solana, NM. HUMBLE, O. R. of Leander. Age 82. Died 7/1973 (Sat.). He had suffered a stroke on 2/21/1973 and died in the Marlin hospital after a five months illness. He was BORN 12/24/1890 in Liberty Hill, TX. Attended school in Liberty Hill and was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, and Texas Hereford Asso. Served in U.S. Army during WW-1. Married Miss Alberta Allcorn on 4/26/1930. He was manager of the Mutual Lumber Co. in Thorndale from 1924-43 when he moved to D'Hanis. Lived in Manor and had lived in Leander for past 10 years. Preceded in death by a brother and 2 sisters. SURVIVORS: Wife, Alberta of Leander; son, Robert O. Humble; 2 granddaughters, Sally Humble and Debby Humble all of Austin; sister, Mrs. E.G. He was director of health planning with the Texas Dept. of Health and also served with the Lakeway Police Dept. Served in U.S. Marines where he earned a Sharpshooter Award. HUNT, Donald Wayne of New York City, NY. Age 59. Died 6/27/1989 (Tuesday) at the Cabreni Hospital in New York City. Memorial services held 7/20/1989 (Thursday) at Phillips & Luckey Chapel, Rockdale. Mr. Hunt was BORN in Lee County on 10/31/1929 to Mrs. Frankie (Rhodes) Simmons. He worked as a freelance writer and publisher. He never married. Had lived in New York for 40 years. HUNTSMAN, Baby of Rockdale. Age - Baby. Died 3/31/1975 (Monday) in Scott & White Hospital, where the tiny baby was taken by helicopter. BORN 3/31/1975 in Richards Hospital, Rockdale, that morning, the first child born to its parents, the baby was laid to rest in the IOOF Cemetery in Rockdale, (Wed.) following graveside services. HUNTSMAN, Mrs. Joyce Gest of Taylor. Age 28. Died 10/19/1982 (Tuesday) in a Temple's Scott & White hospital after a sudden illness. Services held (Thursday) in Meadowbrook Baptist Church, Rockdale. Burial in IOOF Cemetery in Rockdale. Rev. James Featherstone and Rev. N.A. Mills officiated. She was BORN 10/17/1954 in Rockdale to M/M. Alfred & Velma Doss Gest. Married Eddie Huntsman on 12/29/1973 in Rockdale. Purchasing agent for Taylor Mfg. Co. for last 7 years. Member of above church. Preceded in death by 2 infants, on 3/31/1975 and 3/21/1976. HURT, Edward O. of Austin. Age (?). Died (?) (Wed.) at his home in Austin. The body will lie in state at Weed Funeral Home in Austin from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday, after which it will be moved to Arkansas where burial will take place on Friday. He was the step-father of Mrs. Grace Davis Berry of Ft.Worth formerly of Thorndale.

HUTCHINSON, Frank of Houston. Age 44. Died 2/25/1981 (Wed.) in a 1-car accident near Bay City. Funeral was held near Hammond, LA. on 3/1 (Sunday). He was BORN 9/24/1936. He was a lineman for high lines for about 24 years. Three weeks ago he married Mrs. Virginia Webb, sister of Eddie Guy Caffey of Thorndale. SS Death Benefit on #437-48-1149.

HUTSON, Lynn E. of Rt.1, Thorndale. Age 16. Died ?/1956 (Monday) when he was electrocuted on his family's farm. He was seated on a butane tank when he leaned back against a mesh fence that was electrically charged from an abandoned light wire that had accidentally fallen on the fence. Services were held (Wed.) from the San Gabriel Christian Church. Burial in Tanglewood Cemetery. Rev. T.V. Lewis officiated and assisted by Rev. C.R. Perrin, pastor of the San Gabriel Baptist Church. Phillips & Luckey Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. He was BORN 9/28/1939 in Houston. United with the Christian Church in his early boyhood and was an active member. Junior deacon of the San Gabriel Christian Church and also active in the Christian Youth Fellowship group. Senior at Thorndale High School and was a member of the football team, played as a guard. HUTSON, Mrs. Pearl of Brownwood. Age 80. Died 5/1975 (in paper 5/29/75) in the Community hospital in Brownwood. Services held 5/27/1975 (Tuesday) (No burial info listed.). Services held (Wed.) 1/23 in Phillips & Luckey Chapel, Rockdale. Burial in Hugh Wilson Cemetery at Tanglewood. Rev. Dan Carroll of Dallas officiated. He was BORN 2/10/1909 near Blessing, TX., son of M/M. Oran Hutson. Married Miss Gladys Lynn on 12/22/1938 in Houston. Member of the Christian Church. Preceded in death by a son, Lynn E. He was BORN 10/20/1912 in Thorndale, and lived in Houston for the past 30 yrs., where he was an employee of United Gas Co. of Houston. Member of the Methodist Church. HYDE, Eugene Tyson of New Orleans, LA. Age 38. Died 7/16/1970. Services held 7/18 in New Orleans. He was BORN 8/04/1931 in Taylor to M/M. Tyson Hyde of Galena Park. He had operated a grocery store in New Orleans for a number of years. SURVIVORS: Wife and 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls ranging in age from 16 years to 7 years. He was nephew of Mrs. Porter F. HYDE, Jesse Lavoid of Wilson. Age 77. Died 2/18/1984 (Sat.) in St.Mary of the Plains Hospital in Lubbock after a lengthy illness. Mr. Hyde was working on the interior of the new Christian Church when he became ill, with what he thought was indigestion, his death was due to a heart attack. He was BORN Robert Lee Hyde on 10/25/1896 in Thorndale. Married to Miss Mabel Bounds on 11/17/1917 and the couple lived in Rockdale for many years, he spent his entire life in Milam Co. SURVIVORS: Wife, Mabel Hyde; son, Murrell Hyde of Houston; daughter, Mrs. Gary Miller of Dallas; 4 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ernest Hyde of San Diego, TX and John Hyde of Austin; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lou Pool of Cadiz, KY, Mrs. Ettie Hollowell of Thorndale, Mrs. Mealie Worley of Austin.

HYDE, William Tyson of Galena Park, TX. Age 81. Died 11/23/1984 after an extended illness. Services held 11/24 from Howard-Lindale Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Hammond, First Baptist Church, Glenna Park. Burial in South Park Cemetery in Houston. He was BORN on 10/10/1903 in Thorndale, the eldest son of the late Jesse W. Hyde and Sadie Caffey Hyde. Married Annie Mae Ethredge in Taylor on 10/25/1930. He was a retired employee of B.N.M. Truckline in Houston. He was preceded in death by 3 children.
