MULLINAX, Mrs. Mildred Cast (Ralph) of Milano. Age 67. Died 8/29/1988 (Monday) after a highway accident in Cameron, she was pronounced dead about 50 minutes after the collision between the Mullinax pickup and a tractor-trailer rig driven by James A. Suggs, 44, of Georgetown. Occurred at the intersection of Texas 36 & Milam Street near the Cameron City Park. Mr. Mullinax who was driving the pickup was in critical condition at Scott & White Hospital after undergoing abdominal surgery. "He also had a closed head injury". It was Mr. Murray's wish that his body be taken immediately to the Dept. of Cancer Research, Baylor School of Medicine. Private memorial services were held at his home in Thorndale Sunday at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Howard Buchanan officiated. The immediate family attended. Graveside services will be held at the Conoley Cemetery at a later date. He was BORN 8/8/1912 in Rockdale, TX. He graduated from Thorndale High School with the senior class of 1931. Served in the Orient during WW-2 as a Master Sergeant, receiving honorable mention for outstanding service on 2 occasions. Made his home in Maywood, CA. for 28 years and after retirement returned to Thorndale to make his home with his mother who passed away 4/1975. MURRY, Rev. I. M. of Marlin. Age 65. Died 12/31/1975 (in paper 1/8/76) in Marlin's Torbett-Huthings-Smith Memorial Hospital. Services held (Sat.) at South Union Baptist Church in Marlin. Rev. J.L. Dawson of Ft.Worth was the eulogist. (No burial info listed). He was BORN 8/22/1910 in Robinson Co., the son of the late M/M. Dock Murry. He was the last of eight children born to the Dock Murry family. At an early age, he united with the church and was later ordained a deacon of the South Union Baptist Church, Marlin. He was ordained a minister of the gospel by Rev. Wm. Knapp in the Union Baptist Church of Eloise. First church pastored by Rev. Murry was the Bethel Grove Baptist Church in Calvert. Pastored many churches in and around Falls Co. At his death, he had served as pastor of the Independent Baptist Church in Calvet for 16 years and New Hope Baptist Church in Rockdale for 32 years. He married Mrs. Julia A. Wyman on 8/31/1968. He served as moderator of St.Emmanuel Asso. for 10 years but due to ill health, he resigned in July and became moderator emeritus.
