Burial in the Lexington Cemetery. Rev. Doug Springer officiated. Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was BORN 9/2/1932 and lived most of his life in Lexington. He was owner/operator of Sonny's Overnight R.V. Park. Married on 5/16/1958 in Houston to Clara Eloise Whiter. SURVIVORS: Wife, Clara Qualls of Lexington; 3 sons, Randy Qualls of Rockdale, Rodney Qualls and Russell Qualls, both of Lexington; daughter, Robyn Qualls of Lexington; his mother, Berta C. QUIGLEY, Calvin of Minerva & Rockdale. Age 88. Died 4/28/1989 (Friday) in Richards Memorial Hospital. Services held (Tuesday) in Phillips & Luckey Chapel. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Lived in Rockdale for the past 9 years and formerly lived in Minerva for 70 years. BORN 7/7/1900 in Bastrop to M/M. Seafon (Adline Richardson) Quigley. Married Alberta Mitchell in 1954 in Milam County. Preceded in death by a son, Calvin Quigley, Jr., also by his parents, 3 brothers and a sister. SURVIVORS: Wife, Alberta Quigley of Rockdale; 2 sons, Robert White of Spencer, OK. and M.C. White of Rockdale; 7 daughters, Bernice Johnson, Hazel Carter, Mammie Lee Richards and Willie V. Branch of Ft.Worth, Carolyn Page and Helen Jones both of Rockdale and Lillie Ross of Houston; 3 sisters, Amanda Farrow and Effie Hall, both of Denver, CO. and Lillie Mae Davis of Houston; large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. QUINLAN, Esta of Houston. Age 88. Died 1/18/1983 in a Houston nursing home after a long illness. Services in Niday Funeral Home, Houston. Burial and graveside services in IOOF Cemetery, Rockdale. Rev. Robert Lam of First Presbyterian Church officiated at the graveside services. She was BORN 11/22/1894, the daughter of Rockdale pioneers, M/M. C.K. Stribbling. Mrs. Quinlan served as librarian and school secretary at Rockdale in the 1930’s. SURVIVORS: Son, George C. Quinlan of Houston; daughter, Mary Grissom of Houston; 5 sisters, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. SS Death Benefit on #455-16-1030.

Member of Woodmen of the World, the American Legion and past-president of Lexington ISD board of trustees, also, Lexington Fire Chief for many years. Preceded in death by a grandson, Neal Louis Knipstein in 1973. SURVIVORS: Wife, Mrs. Myrtle Quinney of Lexington; son, Ernest R. Quinney of Lexington, daughter, Mrs. Louis Knipstein of Lexington; brother, F.D. Quinney of Lexington; sister, Jessie Epp of San Antonio; 3 half-brothers, John Taylor of Lexington, Charlie F.
