WHITE, Elma of Lexington. Age 92. Died 6/25/1989 (Sunday) in Richards Memorial Hospital. Services held at Lexington United Methodist Church. Burial in Lexington Cemetery. Rev. Henry Weston officiated. Phillips & Luckey in charge of arrangements. She lived most of her life in Lexington and had resided in Manor Oaks Nursing Home for 9 years. She was BORN 1/5/1897 in Lott to M/M. Robert & Fannie Davidson Bouchillon. Married Charles White 12/25/1914. SURVIVORS: Sons, Leroy White of Lexington & William W. White of Ft.Worth; daughter, Fannie Jennings of Needville; 2 sisters, Docia Bowers of Brownwood, (2nd sister not named); 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. SS Death Benefit on #455-66-8280.

WHITE, Mamie of Thorndale. Age 44. Died 1/3/1985 (Thursday) when a 12 gauge shot gun was fired into the face of the widowed mother and grandmother, while she was working as night attendant at Circle K convenience store in Thorndale. The small amount of money in the cash drawer was not disturbed. 2 Taylor hunters stopped at the store around 5 a.m., discovered the body and notified the police. Services held (Sat.) at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Chapel in Rockdale. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, Rockdale. Rev. D.D. Simpson officiated. She was a native of Giddings, but a longtime resident of Rockdale and Thorndale for the past 6 years. Member of First Baptist Church in Rockdale. She was the widow of the former Rockdale police chief, Truman White. She had 4 grown children, a 10-year old son and 4 grandchildren. WHITE, L. E. (Gene) of Corpus Christi & Taylor. Age 45. Died 7/1972 (Wed.) (in paper 7/27/1972) in a veteran hospital in Houston. Services held (Friday) at Condra Memorial Chapel, Taylor. He was BORN 3/15/1927 in Kerven, TX., an insurance salesman for Farm Bureau and lived in Corpus Christi for past 3 years. Cole Funeral Home of McGregor in charge of arrangements. He was BORN 2/26/1908 in Coryell Co. to James Erby & Mary Frances Dodson Whitmore. Attended school at Walker-Harris school. Married Alta Webb on 11/4/1932 in Bell Co. She preceded him in death on 7/5/1973. Lived in Spring Valley area for 43 years, before moving in 1987 to Oglesby. He was a Mason and member of the McLennan Co. Electric Co-Op. Served on the Midway school board in the 1940's. Retired farmer and member of College Avenue Baptist Church of McGregor. SURVIVORS: 2 daughters, Jane Smith of Oglesby and Mrs. Kermit (Wanda) Weber of Bedias; 3 sons, Earl Whitmore of Rockdale, J.E. WIEGMANN, Miss Caroline of Thorndale. Age 84. Died 9/1972 (Friday) in a Taylor hospital following a month's illness. Services held (Sat.) at St.John Lutheran Church. Burial in Detmold. Her pastor, Rev. Walter J. Miller officiated. Condra Funeral Home of Taylor in charge of arrangements. She was BORN 6/24/1888 in Brenham, the daughter of Christian & Wilhelmina Kokemoor Wiegmann. Moved to Thorndale area in early life. Active member of above church and ALCW until ill health curtained her duties. Preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters. SURVIVORS: 4 sisters, Mrs. Lydia Patschke of Taylor, Mrs. Selma Patschke of Thorndale, Mrs. Mathilda Schwettman of Thorndale and Mrs. Ella Stoll of Temple; sister-in-law, Mrs. Ida Wiegmann of Thorndale; number of nieces and nephews. WIEGMANN, Mrs. Minna (Christian) of Thorndale. Age 78. Died 12/3/1943 (Friday). Services held (Sunday) at the home of Miss Caroline Wiegmann and at the St.Paul Lutheran Church. Burial in Detmold Cemetery. Rev. F.H. Stelzer, pastor of St.Paul's Church, officiated. She was BORN Minna Kokemoor on 3/10/1865 in Oppendorf, Germany. Baptized in infancy, and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Wehdem, Germany on 3/27/1879. Came to the U.S. in 1882 and landed in Galveston, settling in Brenham, TX. 3 years later in 1885, married Christian Wiegmann in New Wehdem Lutheran Church in Austin County where they spent the first years of married life. Later they moved to Williamson Co. and in 1897 moved to Detmold where they farmed until 1925 when they retired and moved into Thorndale. Member of above church. SURVIVORS: Husband, Otto Wiegmann; Mrs. Mathilda Schwettmann, Miss Caroline Wiegmann, Otto Wiegmann, Mrs. Lydia Patschke, Mrs. Selma Patschke, all of Thorndale and Mrs. Ella Stoll of Temple; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a brother and sister in Germany. WIESER, Mrs. Ida (Otto) of Rosebud. Age 85. Died 10/3/1975 (Friday) (in paper 10/16/1975). Services held in Hoelscher Funeral Home in Rosebud. Burial in Woodland Cemetery in Rosebud. Rev. E.A. Heckmann officiated. She was BORN 1/31/1890 and a lifelong resident of Falls County. Member of rthe First Lutheran Church of Rosebud. WIESER, Wayne of Cameron. Age 59. Died 5/1982 (Sat.) in the VA Hospital in San Antonio after a lengthy illness. Services held (Tuesday) in the United Church of Christ in Ben Arnold. He was BORN 4/7/1923 and had been County Clerk of Milam Co. for 25 years and was reelected in the May 1 Democratic Primary as an unopposed candidate (his wife finished his term.). Served in WW-2, member of United Church of Christ of Ben Arnold and also, the Edwin Hardy Post No. 9 of the American Legion. SURVIVORS: Wife, Willa Mae Wieser of Cameron; 2 daughters, Charm Knight and Patricia Wieser, both of Cameron; 3 brothers, Larry Wieser and Harold Wieser, both of Rosebud and Delmon Wieser of Denison; 2 sisters, Nan Lee Wieser of Rosebud and Mrs. Archie West of Cameron. WIGINTON, Mrs. Faye of Lubbock. Age 74. Died 8/26/1981 (Wed.) in a Lubbock hospital after a brief illness. Services held (Friday) at Rix Funeral Home Chapel, Lubbock. Burial in a Lubbock cemetery. She was BORN 10/25/1906 and was the mother of Mrs. Allan Clayton of Rockdale. Memorials to Amer. Cancer Soc. WILDER, J. R. of Taylor. Age 80. Died 1/21/1959 (Wed.) in a Taylor hospital. Services held (Friday) in Condra Memorial Chapel in Taylor. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. Rev. Roy E. Curtis officiated. He was BORN 1/14/1879 in Bastrop and lived in the Taylor area for the past 39 years. He was a retired farmer. He was an employee of the State Hospital until his retirement. Member of Hyde Park Christian Church in Austin. Preceded in death by daughter, Ruth, at age of 2 years and 5 brothers. WILKINS, Ada Cates of Abilene. Age 89. Died 7/28/1988 (Thursday) in a retirement center in Abilene. Services held 7/30 (Sat.) at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in Elmwood Memorial Park, Abilene. Rev. Lloyd Mayhew and Dr. David Hamblin officiated. She was BORN 8/18/1898 in Sulphur Springs, the daughter of the late Dr. & Mrs. W.R. Cates and graduated from Thorndale Schools in 1916. She was the last surviving member of that class. Graduated from Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1920 and received her Master's Degree from Hardin-Simmons Univ. in 1950, moved to Abilene in 1944. Began teaching at the McMurray College in 1945. Retired in 1969 as an Asso. Professor in English. SURVIVORS: Son, Howard Thomas Wilkins of Abilene; daughter, Bonnie Ada Myers of Abilene; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter.
