WILMOSKI, Harry William of Rockdale. Age 64. Died 11/17/1972 (Friday) in a LaGrange hospital where he had been the past 27 days. Services held (Monday) in Phillips & Luckey Chapel. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Revs. Joseph Scott of LaGrange and Ira A. Irvin of Austin, officiated. He was BORN 5/3/1908 in South Bend, IN., to the late M/M. Albert Wilmoski. He lived in Rockdale for 20 years. He was a brick mason until retirement in 1963 because of ill health. Member of International Brick Layers Union since 1925. Married Miss Helen F. Stair on 12/23/1926 in Wheaton, IL. Infant son preceded him in death. SURVIVORS: Wife, Helen of Rockdale; daughter, Mrs. Janice Fae Salmon of Cedar Park; brother, Albert Wilmoski of South Bend, IN.; sister, Mrs. Hattie Brame of Union, MI.; several nieces and nephews. WILMOSKI, Mrs. Helen Frances of Rockdale. Age 67. Died 2/26/1973 (Monday) in Richards Hospital where she had been for 1 day. Services held 2/28 (Wed.) in Phillips & Luckey Chapel in Rockdale. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Ira A. Ervin, pastor of Highland Baptist Church of Austin, officiated. She was BORN at Coruna, IN., on 10/31/1906, daughter of the late M/M. Frank E. Stair. Married Harry Wilmoski on 12/3/1926 at Wheaton, IL. He preceded her in death 11/17/1972. WILSON, Annis S. of Ft. Worth. Age 87. Died 11/1984. Services held in Greenwood Chapel in Ft. Worth. Private burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. Rev. Floyd W. Thrash and M/M. H.R. Pickop officiated. She was BORN 11/2/1897, a number of people will remember her in Thorndale. SURVIVORS: Daughter, Gwendolyn (Gwen) Kelly; son-in-law, Thomas P. (Tom) Kelly, both of Ft. WILSON, J. B. "Johnny" of Corpus Christi. Age 66. Died 5/1/1952 (in paper 5/11/72) in a hospital in Corpus Christi. Services held 5/2 in Corpus Christi. Burial in same city. Kenne Carter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was BORN 7/4/1906, son of M/M. Alfred Wilson who lived in San Gabriel area for many years. Had lived in Corpus Christi for 50 years. Mr. Wilson had retired from the Railway Express in 1969 after 42 years of service. He was nephew of Mrs. Howard Fulcher, Rt. 1, Thorndale. SURVIVORS: (not listed). SS Death Benefit on #460-01-8954.

WILSON, J. M. of Minerva Community. Age 69. Died 1/1977 (Sunday) (in paper 1/20/1977) at his home in Minerva. Services held (Tuesday) in the Phillips & Luckey Chapel, Rockdale. Burial in Lilac Cemetery. Rev. Dean Evans officiated. He was BORN 3/4/1907 in San Gabriel to M/M. Marion Wilson. He resided in the Minerva Comm. for 7 yrs. and was a retired pipe fitter for the Gulf Oil Co. Married Belva Sanders in San Gabriel on 1/18/1928. Member of Mt.Zion Baptist Church in Minerva. SURVIVORS: Wife, Belva Wilson of Minerva; son, Frank L. WILSON, Jr., Rev. Jesse of Round Rock. Age 59. Died 5/21/1981 (Thursday). Services held (Sat.) in First Baptist Church in Liberty Hill, where he had been pastor for a number of years. Burial in Capital Memorial Park. Davis Funeral Home of Georgetown in charge of arrangements. He was BORN 9/10/1903, the son of Mrs. Jesse Wilson, Sr. who is a patient in a Cameron hospital and the late Jesse Wilson, Sr. He grew up in the San Gabriel Comm., graduated from Thorndale High School, was in business and pastored churches in South Texas, before coming to Central Texas area. Rev. Wilson along with Dr. James David Rutherford of California, discovered oil on the former Lance Johnson farm between Thorndale and San Gabriel "about 2 years ago". He also had a real estate office in Round Rock. SURVIVORS: Wife, Mrs. Bernice Wilson of Round Rock; daughter, Darnell Wilson of Austin; 2 sons, Don Wilson of Georgetown and Terry Wilson of Grapevine; mother, Mrs. Jesse Wilson, Sr., of San Gabriel; 2 brothers, Fred Wilson of San Gabriel and Kenneth Wilson of Ingleside; 3 grandchildren. WILSON, Margaret of the Lilac Comm. Age 65. Died 8/23/1988 (Tuesday). Services held 8/25 (Thursday) in Phillips & Luckey Chapel in Rockdale. Burial in the Lilac Cemetery. Wiley Wilson and Rev. Ronnie Dyer officiated. She was BORN 9/12/1922 in Robstown, daughter of the late Daniel & Velma (Blair) Cowan. Lived in Lilac Community since 1950. Married Fred B. Wilson in Odem on 8/14/1941. She was a housewife and member of the Baptist Church in Lilac. SURVIVORS: Husband, Fred B. Wilson of Lilac; 2 sons, Thomas Nathan Wilson of Lilac and Fred B. *WILSON, Margie Nell Jinks of Austin. Age 81. Died 12/12/1993 (Sunday) at her home. Services held 12/15 (Wed.) in Weed-Corley Chapel in Austin. Burial in Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas. She was BORN 3/14/1912 in Rockdale, moving to Dallas when she married John C. Wilson. Retired from Oak Cliff Bank & Trust in 1975 and moved to Austin to be near her family. SURVIVORS: 2 sons, John C. Wilson & wife, Stevann S. Wilson of Austin, and Don C. Wilson & wife, Darlene M. WILSON, Marie of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Age 88. Died 1/4/1986 (Sat.). Services held 1/6 (Monday) in the chapel at Robinson Funeral Home in Pine Bluff. (Burial info not mentioned). She was BORN 11/20/1897 and reared in Watson Chapel Comm. The eldest daughter of Newton & Marie Vogel Wilson. She was a retired school teacher. WILSON, Mrs. Mittie I. of Temple. Age 86. Died 5/1990 (Thursday) in a Temple Hospital following a brief illness. Services held (Sat.) at the Sheffield Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple. Rev. John Witte officiated. She was BORN 3/22/1904 in Milam Co. She was raised in Milam Co. and attended public schools there. Attended Tyler Jr. College for 2 years. She was a resident of Temple for the past 36 years. She was a housewife and member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Married David Alfred Wilson on 10/16/1921 in Milam Co. He preceded her in death in 1981. SURVIVORS: 2 sons, Raymond Wilson of Denton and Everett Wilson of Lawton, OK.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Cox of Sanger and Mrs. Dorothy Covington of Lawton, OK.; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nephew, Paul Tucker, Thorndale. WILSON, Nathan Archie of Corpus Christi. Age 62. Died 9/14/1970 in a Corpus hospital after a lingering illness. Burial held 9/16 (Wed.) in Seaside Memorial Park. He was BORN 12/18/1907, the son of the late Alfred & Alice Wilson, who lived for many years in San Gabriel area. WILSON, Nina Elizabeth of Olney. Age 82. Died 9/2/1989 (Sat.) in Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas, where she had undergone knee replacement some days earlier. Services held 9/3 (Sunday) in First United Methodist Church, Olney, TX. Burial in Restland Cemetery. Rev. Herb Marlow, pastor, officiated, assisted by Rev. Lloyd Sansom of Gatesville. Lunn Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements. She was BORN 10/31/1906, the youngest of 4 children of the late George & Lula Stiles Peebles. Attended the Thorndale schools. She married 12/26/1926 to W.C. (Carroll) Wilson. He preceded her in death in 1979. She was a homemaker and had lived in Olney since 1940. Member of above church and sang in the church choir. Member of the Altruistic Club and past member of Band Parents Club. Attended the Univ. of Texas. WILSON, Talvis D. of Brady, TX. Age 59. Died 4/1970 (Wed.) in a Brady hospital after a lingering illness. Services held (Sat.) from Salty Church. He was BORN 12/21/1910. The family had lived in Thorndale during the 1950's and he was a cousin of Mrs. L.L. Brune. He was a county employee of Brady. WILSON, Tom of New Gulf. Age 83. Died 12/17/1989 (Sunday) in a Wharton hospital. Services held 12/9 (Tuesday). Burial in Wharton Cemetery. He was BORN 8/20/1921, the son of the late M/M. J.B. Wilson of San Gabriel. Married the former Pauline Moore, who preceded him in death a year ago in Feb. Some years ago he bought the F.M. Amason home in San Gabriel as a vacation home and the couple spent several weeks each year in the San Gabriel home. SURVIVORS: Sister-in-law, Mittie Wilson of Temple and a number of nieces and nephews in Rockdale and Thorndale. SS Death Benefit on #451-28-2380.

WINFORD, Mrs. Abbie Ann (Virge) of Bishop. Age 87. Died 6/16/1968 (Sunday) in a Kingsville hospital after a long illness. Services held 6/17 (Monday) in the Bishop Church of Christ. Burial in Bishop Cemetery. Piper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Born in Taylor and moved to Bishop from Granger. The family lived for many years in the San Gabriel and Friendship Communities. Member of the Order of the Eastern Star. SURVIVORS: 3 daughters, Mrs. Johnnie Taylor of Corpus Christi, Mrs. J.B. York and Mrs. Virgie Starnes, both of Bishop; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

WINKLER, Albert Karl of Houston. Age 84. Died 1/10/1985 (Thursday). Services held (Sat.) in Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor. Burial in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Rev. Rudolph Kurtz officiated. Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was BORN 9/4/1900. Preceded in death by wife, parents and 2 brothers. WINKLER, Arnold of The Grove, TX. Age 72. Died 8/27/1988 (Sat.) in the VA Hospital in Temple. Prayer service held (Sunday) at Sheffield Funeral Home in Temple. Services held (Monday) in The Grove. Those attending services from Thorndale were Martin & Lorine Schneider, Kelton & Alice Schneider, Victor & Mildred Waiser, Melvin & Irene Cast, Marvin & Millie Rodenbeck, Michele & Stephanie Gilchrist, Gracie Cargill, Angie Becker and Marcia Felton. WINKLER, Arthur of Pontiac, MI. Age "Child". Died ?/1952 (Monday) of double pneumonia. Services held in Hamilton. SURVIVORS: Parents, M/M. Leonard Winkler of Pontiac, MI.; grandparents, M/M. Ben Winkler of Hamilton; M/M. Ben Winkler and M/M. J.C. Jaeckel of Pontiac, MI. had arrived Monday morning for a visit with relatives and friends and to tend to business when the Winklers were called home Monday afternoon to be at the bedside of their grandson.

WINKLER, Mrs. Hulda (Ben) of Rt. 1, Hamilton, formerly of Thorndale. Age 81. Died ?/1969 (Sat.) in a Clifton hospital after a short illness. Services held (Monday) at St.Paul's Lutheran Church in Aleman. Burial in St.Paul Church Cemetery. Rev. Raymond D. Reich officiated. Riley Funeral Home of Hamilton in charge. She was BORN 1/18/1888 in Thorndale and made her home here for many years before moving to Hamilton. Preceded in death by her husband Ben Winkler in 1957. SURVIVORS: 2 sons, Ben T. Winkler of Temple and Leonard Winkler of Hamilton; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

WINKLER, Mrs. Lena of Thorndale. Age 90. Died ?/1971 (Monday) enroute to a Taylor hospital. Services held (Thursday) at St.Paul Lutheran Church at The Grove, TX. Burial in The Grove Cemetery. Rev. William Remmert officiated. Condra Funeral Home of Taylor in charge of arrangements. She had lived in Houston before moving to Thorndale a year ago. SURVIVORS: 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Dora Boriack of Lodie, CA. and Mrs. E.R. Hohle of Belton; son, Waldemar Winkler of Houston; 21 grandchildren; number of great and great-great-grandchildren.

WINKLER, Ludwig H. of Fedor. Age 87. Died 8/19/1984 in an Austin nursing home. Services held 8/22 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor. Burial in church cemetery. Rev. Rudolph Kurz officiated. He was BORN 5/14/1897. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. SURVIVORS: Wife, Mrs. Otillie Exner Winkler; 2 daughters, Mrs. Edna Kieschnick of Lincoln and Mrs. Ruby Pillack of Austin; son, Erwin Winkler of Giddings; brother, Albert Winkler of Fedor; 3 sisters, Mrs. Alma Brade and Mrs. Elsie Pillack of Fedor, Mrs. Minnie Falke of Thorndale; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. WINKLER, Mrs. Ottilie Helene of Fedor. Age 78. Died 3/14/1984 (Wed.) in Houston. Services held 3/17 (Sat.) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor. Burial in church cemetery. Rev. Rudolph Kurz officiated. She was BORN 10/13/05 as Ottilie Helene Frosch, lived in the Fedor Comm. and was a member of above church. SURVIVORS: Husband, Albert Winkler of Fedor; daughter, Mrs. Irene Wolf of Houston; 3 sons, Wilbert and Clarence of Houston and Lawrence of Austin; sister, Mrs. Flora Kokel of Waco; brother, Herbert Frosch of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. WINNINGHAM, William of Monterey Park, CA. Age 75. Died 2/21/1985 (Thursday). Services held 2/23 in Monterey Park Chapel. He was BORN 2/6/1910. He was a former resident of the Friendship Comm. He and 1st wife, Mary Elliott, were married in Thorndale about 11/1928, and were the last couple married by the late Rev. W.S. Elliott, before his death in 1/1929. Mary was the granddaughter of Rev. W.S. Elliott and was enrolled in the senior class of Thorndale High School when she left the class to marry. SURVIVORS: Present wife, Eunice; son, William Rogers Winningham and 4 sisters; cousins, Gus Cowen and Nettie Dee Harper, both of Thorndale. SS Death Benefit on #450-16-5946.

WINTER, John of Thorndale. Age 86. Died 11/21/1982 (Sunday) in a Georgetown hospital. Services held (Tuesday) in St.Paul Lutheran Church, Thorndale. Burial in church cemetery. Rev. Vernon M. Appel officiated. He was BORN 2/22/1896, the son of the late John & Ernestine Dube Winter and lived in Thorndale area most of his life. Retired farmer. Resident of Trinity Lutheran Home in Round Rock for the past several years. WINTERS, Clarence of Taylor. Age 45. Died 2/7/1984 (Tuesday) in Johns Community Hospital of Taylor. Services held 2/9 (Thursday) in Condra Memorial Chapel in Taylor. He was BORN 9/19/1938 and had lived in Taylor for the past 5 years and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Georgetown. WISEMEN, A. E. "Pete" of Thorndale. Age 65. Died 4/1982 (Sunday) in Johns Comm. Hospital in Taylor. Services held (Tuesday) in Condra Memorial Chapel in Taylor. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. Rev. David Bulgerin officiated. He was BORN 1/16/1917. WITCHER, Walter Ray of Corpus Christi. Age 70. Died 7/20/1982 (Tuesday) in a Corpus Christi hospital. Services held 7/22 (Thursday) in Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Chapel in Corpus Christi. Dr. Barcus Moore officiated in Corpus. Graveside services held in Liberty Hill with Rev. Rick Waters officiating. He was BORN 8/11/1911 in Liberty Hill. Lived in Corpus Christi for 39 years. Member of South Bluff Methodist Church, WW-2 veteran and was a teacher and principal in the Corpus Christi school system. Taught in Eckman Comm. and Thrall before going to Corpus.
